Can anyone give me guidance on connecting a Mercury IIIs Amp to 8400M

Just got around to unpacking my 8400M ( I was in recovery from a serious crash for 8 months) and can't seem to find info on how to connect a Mercury IIIs amp to the 8400M. Could someone point me in the right direction?

The Mercury III does not have CAT capability, just RF sense.

Beside RF cable from radio to amp RF In, you need an RCA male to make cable for PTT. Connect TX1 on radio to amp PTT in.

In TX Band Settings table, enable TX1 on bands where you want to use the amp. Also you can set your RF power and TUNE power per band.

Temember, if using an antenna tuner, put the amp in standby and click the TUNE button in SmartSDR or maestro/M model. Unkey and then enable the amp.

The first time you key up on that band the amp will detect the frequency and switch to the correct band.
