Yaesu HF Hand Mics should work. It would be good to compare the pinouts with the FlexRadio hardware reference manual.

    Kenwood will not work.

Mike…how about the Icom SM-30 desktop mic (using an appropriate pinout adapter cable)?

I am sure someone has done it. It should work if you get PTT, Mic Ground, PTT Ground and Mic Audio on the correct pins. In my early ham years I think I modified just about any Mic I had to work with the radio I had because I didn't have the budget to do it any other way. And, we didn't have the internet.

It is an easy project to figure out. Look at the Icom Mic wiring and then look at the Flex Mic wiring and make them fit together. I bet ChatGPT could figure it out for you. :)

The FlexRadio RJ45 and 8 Pin Foster are wired in Yaesu HF format. Good luck.
