Windows 11 driver update?

About 2 months ago I installed a new Windows 11 computer to go with my new 8400M radio. DAX will not run on the new computer, get simple errors that DAX is not working.

Put in a help desk ticket and after several attempts to fix the problem the Flex agent told me that they are working on updating the DAX drivers that are incompatible with Windows 11.

Now I have a new radio with very limited capabilities, cannot use any sound card apps. Is there any word from Flex about solving the driver incompatibility problem? How many others are affected by this problem?

Hi Fred… I have a Flex 6700 working on Windows 11 complete with DAX capability — no real problems.

HOWEVER, I did have to turn off Core Isolation in order to get the DAX drivers to install and operate. I believe that is what most of us are doing at the moment. Yes, I have also heard that Flex is working on updated DAX drivers, but in the meantime, this might work for you??

I worked with Fred and we got DAX working. In addition to the Core Isolation settings, we had to adjust the Microphone Privacy settings (see image below) in order to get the TX side going. Once we did that, DAX stopped complaining.

    Thanks Eric!
