remote operation by another flex radio

Hi, quick question,

I have a full remote station and use a 6700 here at the shack. Is it possible to have a friend operate remotely using his flex radio connected to my station over the internet to control my radio, or is the only way through smartlink ?

Not possible. If your friend has a Maestro or a pc running SmartSDR he can operate your 6700 through SmartLink or through a VPN connection, with SmartSDR. But, using one transceiver like an M model radio to control another over a network either local or the internet, won't work as it isn't designed to bypass the internal transmitter and send data to, and receive data from, a remote transceiver.
