Core Isolation cannot be restored

Options

I made the mistake of disabling Core Isolation on my Windows 11 PC. I can no longer restore it. I've uninstalled all Flex software but after rebooting I keep getting the following items preventing it. How do I remove them ?

I may have missed a memo, but my understanding is that the Core Isolation feature and the current version of DAX are incompatible. To properly install the latest SmartSDRs and DAX, you need to turn this feature off. I don't believe you can successfully turn it back on after the installation.

    At least, that's my understanding….

Either liaise with the Help Desk (best bet if you are unsure of anything) or see

    https://helpdesk.flexradio.com/hc/en-us/articles/27702962401947-How-to-Manually-Install-Reinstall-DAX-Drivers

so that a removal of and clean install of the DAX drivers is performed.

    Also note that within C:\Program Files\FlexRadio Systems\FlexVSP is vspcleaner.exe

Once done, then enable Core Isolation if you need it. If it does not re-enable, the solution is in BIOS (SVM for AMD or VT-x for Intel) but look that up for yourself.

Thanks for the replies. I'm giving up on my Flex and not looking to reinstall the DAX drivers. The radio is for sale and I'm just trying to get Core Isolation working again.

    You might have this then.

You don't give enough info but as a general rule if you turn off Core Isolation, two possible issues prevent it from being restored. The drivers that have W11 compatibility issues may stop it in which case they should be listed and they need to be updated or removed (reinstall if required but not relevant in your case). Or SVM / VT-x has to be (re)enabled in BIOS. Details can be easily found online.
