I have a problem after recent update. SSDR randomly disconnects from radio while in stand- by mode or even while transmitting.

Is is safe to downgrade to previous version version of SSDR?

    Hi Tom,

Do you have a TGXL ? And if so, did you upgrade it to v1.2.17 from 4O3A's website ?

I was getting radio network disconnect on 8400mand then a 10 second countdown and the radio would power cycle. So now I just turned off the smart link, and no trouble now.

If you're on windows, there's probably something that's changed that's causing the Disco. If you do have additional flex gear in the shack, I'd do as Russ mentioned. If you have additional software running there could always be an issue with that conflicting with something. I would just run SSDR and the radio Nothing else and see if it behaves. Then bring up Cat and DAX, and see how that plays. If you have a bunch of USB configured make sure they all have power saving deactivated by checking in Device manager. I wouldn't go backwards at all… There's something in your system causing the disconnect. Look at your packet drops and see what they are doing. If you can figure out the basic system… Open a help desk. They smoked out this software pretty well, but there has been some weird stuff some see. Keep positive. Erika DD

Here is a brief update. Yes, my TG has the latest firmware installed. Re-installation of SSDR did not rectified the problem.

I returned to the previous version of SSDR (3.8.23) everything works fine.

Did you perform a Cold Boot or a Factory Reset after upgrading to v3.9.18?

Sometimes some bad data remains in the Radio Persistence database that needs to be cleared with a Factory Reset.

This is covered in the Release Notes, which are ALWAYS strongly recommended reading before any update of radio or computer.
