Smart SDR 3.9.18 stops responding on shut down.

I notice when I close out my smart SDR (Version 3.9.18) on my HP Desktop PC running windows 11 Pro. It does not close out right away and stops responding. But does eventually close. Now on my laptop it closes out right away. Something is keeping it from closing and is hanging it up. Any clues as to what would conflict with windows and smart sdr to cause this ?

Depends on what additional software you have interfacing with the radio. I have an etched in stone order to bring up the station and the same goes for shutdown. Ddutil will crash things if you don't shut it down beforehand. Hrd inrefaces with various cat stuff and will hang the radio. Version before dot 18 crashed on every shut down. You might have power saving on your usb stuff its something funky but try ssdr without cat and dax. Then shut it down. Then plus cat and dax. And you may have some other programs running in the background antivirus software really not necessary under win 11. YMMV

Often you can look in the Windows Event Viewer if there is a software error or crash happening. Look under Windows Logs > Applications.

Yes I noticed this is happening on the HP Windows 11 Desktop but not on the Dell G-3 Windows 11 Laptop. Something is causing Smart SDR to hang after I click the X to close it out. I noticed once I click on the X it will eventuality close out but it takes it a about a minute if I try to force it to close the screen goes white and freezes up.

Under windows event viewer Windows Logs > applications what will the Flex 6400 be listed as under "Source" ?

The radio won't be listed, the software will. It will be SmartSDR.
