v3.9.18 with Maestro SmartControl Trouble

Hello,
After updating my Maestro to v3.9.18, SmartControl seems to somewhat break my SmartSDR of the same version.
After updating without apparent issue my 6700 and Maestro "A" from v3.8.23 (was mostly running fine as far as I noticed) to V3.9.18, the SmartSDR seemed to work fine. My usual 3 panadapters and six slices were open and working. I primarily use SmartControl to operate Slice A (on the Maestro Slice B is muted)
However, starting up my Maestro (after the same update) in SmartControl mode causes SmartSDR to close one of the panadapters with several slices—leaving only two panadapters in SmartSDR. Also, Maestro screen in SmartControl mode now looks different: There now seems to be a dormant spectrum display (or waterfall?) at the bottom of the screen. (photo) Is that intentional?
After starting Maestro in Smart Control mode and the resulting auto-closing of one of my panadapters, a re-loading of the profile either:
- …freezes SmartSDR and Maestro, or
- …successfully restores the panadapaters and slices but almost instantly closes one of the panadapters (just like when the Maestro is started in SmartControl mode as described above).
Manually adding a panadapter in SmartSDR under these circumstances, instead of re-loading a profile with has an additional panadapter, also causes the same result.
With v3.8.23 and prior, I could use Maestro SmartControl to control slice A while having as many other panadapters and slices in SmartSDR as I wanted (up to 6700 limit). Has that changed with v3.9.18 or am I just experiencing unintended issues?
This post is about Maestro in SmartControl Mode as this is how I mostly use the Maestro.
Since others have updated also, I thought I'd ask here first before creating a ticket.
Thanks.

Hi Mark, after upgrading to 3.9.18, did you do a cold reboot? If not, give that a try to see if it fixes things. If you did do a cold reboot, try a factory reset (after exporting your profiles). If that doesn't help, submit a help desk ticket.
I think that the panadapter graphic in SmartControl mode is a known issue.

Several have experienced issues with Smart Control after loading the last release. I opened a ticket last week…My Maestro works fine as long as you avoid Smart Control mode. I recommend opening a ticket.

I've also experienced the same SmartControl issue after updating (Maestro C and 8600).
My workaround is to make sure I only have one Panadapter running on the PC before connecting Maestro as SmartControl. Then on the Maestro do things like open meters whilst you can still see the controls. Once Maestro is setup as you like, then open a second Panadapter on the PC. At this point I can now control both slices with the Maestro and its displaying the info I want.
Hopefully this regression will be fixed soon.

I use SmartControl, and just a single Panadapter (one slice). Usually I expect, and get:
But with 3.9.18 I sometimes get this (after some idle-ness???):
It does seem to self-fix if I change bands or something, then come back to 20m. I never experienced this with prior versions of SmartSDR.
I haven't thoroughly checked the circumstances when this occurs; rather, I've quickly focussed on getting a working solution. So my characterization of the circumstances is poor…

I opened a ticket and this was acknowledged as a known software defect. I use global profiles and if you switch profiles and switch back the display anomaly can reset to normal. Hope they fix this soon!
