Inability to upgrade firmware on FLEX-6400

Mac user here running the latest version of SmartSDR 2.9.45. I am unable to get my radio to take the 3.8.23-Flex-6x00 firmware. I select the firmware, click Install, and the software and the radio goes through the motions (LED turns purple on the radio, software shows progress bar). Once done, the radio resets, but the firmware shown in the Radio tab of the Settings window still shows 3.5.9. I've done this four times today, restarting the SmartSDR software each time as well as the radio. Is this a known issue? How can I get the firmware upgrade to "take"?

    Persistence paid off. I performed the same steps a number of times and finally, the upgrade took and now my FLEX-6400 is at 3.8.23.
