TGXL Utility Can't Find Radio

I have a complete Flex station with an 8600, PGXL, TGXL, and AG-8x2. My peripherals have been offline for a long time. I installed a new Lenova desktop computer and I replaced my 6600 with an 8600 with no problem. I have updated the SSDR software to v3.9.18 with no problem.

I downloaded the utilities for the TGXL and PGXL. The PGXL connects OK. The TGXL cannot find my radio.

According to the user’s guide, the IP addresses for the radio and the TGXL must match. The TGXL front panel says the IP is 192.168.1.250. The utility says that it is 10.0.0.89. My 8600 has 10.0.0.83. The PGXL utility has 10.0.0.171.

I have unplugged the TGXL ethernet, turned the TGXL off, disconnected the power, plugged in the Ethernet, turned the TGXL on with no change in the IP address on the front panel.

I have attempted to do a factory reset by turning it off, and following these instructions from a earlier Community response to a similar problem:

“Hold the front panel OP/Bypass button while turning it on. Continue to hold the button until the screen says Config Reset.Hold the front panel OP/Bypass button while turning it on. Continue to hold the button until the screen says Config Reset.”

I held the button for several minutes without the TGXL saying Config Reset. I repeated this several times with no response.

Trying to do a firmware update using the utility, it says that it can’t find 192.168.1.250. My network says that its IP address is 192.168.2.18.

How do I resolve the IP addresses?

BTW, I am not very savvy regarding networks.

Open a Help Desk ticket. It sounds like the tuner is stuck in firmware upgrade mode.

The fix will be to download the latest TG utility 1.2.17 then set a second IP address in your computer to 192.168.1.10.

Next step is to perform a firmware update from the utility.

Again, since you are not network savvy, open a Help Desk ticket.
