Issues with v3.9.18 and Maestro C

I just got my Maestro C back from Flex support this afternoon and upgraded it to v3.9.18. I did the radio and TGXL (to v1.2.17) yesterday. In general it seems to work fine with my 6700 but there are a few weird things:

  • I can't seem to get new meters to add to the column on the right using the "+" button. I can only get about three with the rest empty space. I had more before the update. Anyone else seeing this ?
  • I could swear I saw an image in a YouTube video of a Maestro running v3.9 at Dayton and it had the same new TGXL "window" showing the line meters and LCC indicators that appear in new SSDR in the meter column on the right. I know there's a new TGXL tab in "Menu" that shows the LCC values but this was in the Maestro's meter column. Is anyone seeing that on their Maestro ?
  • I can't see a way to activate TGXL "TUNE" in the Maestro but there surely must be one ? Does anyone know how to do that ?

Thanks, Russ KR6W

    Russ,

There seems to be a bug in the Maestro meters. If you side swipe the meter to change the selection the slot will be come blank but remain in the list. The only solution i have found is to delete ( - ) all the meters, even the one no longer visible ( punch the - 8 times ) then add them back and reselect with a side swipe as desired..

You can initiate a TGXL TUNE from Maestro by using the Maestro ATU button. ( Caution the button may become orphaned in the TGXL state, requiring a Maestro reboot. ) . Note that the TGXL TUNE widget on the Maestro screen is also useful.

    Not perfect but useful.

    Hi Al,

Thanks for the response - much appreciated !

Ok on all; very helpful. Two questions:

    • when you say the "TGXL TUNE widget on the Maestro is also useful" could you please elaborate just a bit ? Do you mean the icon at the top/center of the screen ? I can get it to change the TGXL's states but that's all. Is that what you mean ?
    • Having regressed/reloaded the f/w three times by the book, and hard restarted everything in sight countless times including my entire home network, I finally seem to have everything pretty much working. The major problem I have now is, I usually run in MultiFlex mode tuning around CW w/ Maestro and monitoring FT8 in SSDR on a fast PC. With v3.9 the radio crashes every single time after 1 or 2 minutes of transmitting CW. Doesn't matter how many slices I have open between them, it always crashes. Are you seeing anything like that ? Never saw that once with the previous version.

    Thanks Russ KR6W

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
