Flex 8600 Remote On Jack

I have my Flex 8600, PGXL, and TGXL located a few feet away from my operating location on the other side of a wall. If I short the 8600's Remote On jack with an RCA plug, is it safe and acceptable to power up or power down these three pieces of equipment by turning my 12-volt power supply on and off?

    I know that people do it that way, but it is like pulling the plug on your computer instead of powering it down gracefully. The risk is that the radio won't be done writing data to storage when the power drops. An additional WiFi controlled switch is cheap insurance.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
