8600M front display crashes when Ethernet cable is removed-bug or feature ?

Options
With the radio operating normally the front display will blank when removing the Ethernet cable at the radio connector. Touching the screen will cause the screen to go white with an error message indicating Maestro is un-responsive. The fix is a re-start of the radio. Anyone else have a similar experience ?

Help Desk ticket time. This is not normal behavior. You can try a factory reset to see if that clears up the problem. But, it may need more than that to fix it.

    Is this a use-case?

Tech Tip → do not pull ethernet cable while device in use.

Maestro or Radio— as far as I know, Maestro lacks a factory reset option.

Use case ? Don’t know. Unexpected behavior ? Yes. I also noticed that when power is removed the radio ceases to function….
