HOW to connect a Flex 6600 or 8600 to a SPE 2K-FA Amp

I have the 8600M successfully connected to the SPE 2K-FA Amp

Here's how:

Using the 8600M USB to RS232 converter, I have pin 2 of the 9pin coming from the RS232 converter

going to pin 1 (RXD) of the SPE amp 15 pin CAT 1 input. Pin 3  of the 9pin coming from the RS232 converter going to pin 9 (TXD) of the SPE amp 15 pin CAT 1 input and pin 5 (GND) coming from the RS232 converter going to pin 4 (GND) of the SPE amp 15 pin CAT 1 input

I ALSO pin 9 (+5V ) from the 8600M ACC 15 pin output and pin 5 (GND) going to the SPE amp 15 pin CAT1 pin 8 (AMP-on) and pin 4 GND - which turns the Amp on when the 6600M is turned on

And using the RCA PTT jack to key the AMP via its RCA PTT jack

Finally figured it out!

The amp doesn't read the freq from the flex, so I have to do a quick Tune push for the amp RF sample and to switch to the freq, and set the proper band since there is no band data output from the Flex
