Audacity

Im having trouble making recordings with my 8600 using Audacity. I'm using Dax but the recordings are distorted like the sample rate is not right. Will Audacity work with SmartSDR number one and is there another way in SmartSDR to record a signal and save it as a file?

If its distorting check the levels in audacity are not too high on the input.
I use it to record CQ messages for contest loggers and have no issues at all.

I’m trying to use Audacity to record stations that I’m receiving.

In Audacity, I assume you have one of the DAX Audio RX channels selected and you have the same on selected inSSDR and that DAX is enabled.
On the menu bar, there is an audio level meter. Is says "Click to Start Monitoring". If you click it what does the meter indicate?

Retried again this morning and the distortion is gone. I who knows, maybe it’s the order in which I started the programs.
Thanks all for the input0
