Can the GPS antenna with the 8600 be perm mounted outside?

in FLEX-8000 Signature Series

Gear is in the garage with no windows. I may be able to mount it outside on top of my SPG box just outside the garage.

Is this ok?

Thank you. Setting things up one item at a time. Just finished setting up the AG.

    Hi Greg, have you tried it inside yet? It may or may not work there, but if it locks OK, you may be fine with it in the garage.

    I don't know what moisture and dust ratings the GPS antenna has, but if I were to put it outside, I think I would put it in a weatherproof box.

    Thanks Len. I managed to stretch the antenna to a window in the garage door and seems to lock OK.

    Radio arrived a couple days ago so just trying to get it all setup and configured.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
