SSDR/N1MM-Loss of Bi-directional Communication

I’m curious if anyone else has experienced the following issue:

-Smart SDR 3.8.23

-8600

-Win 11 Pro

-N1MM 1.0.10665.0

N1MM and Smart SDR are set up for SO1V operation. CAT control on either TCP or COM port yielded same result. Winkey also set up on COM port.

CAT control works correctly upon initial launch of SSDR and N1MM. Commands can be issues in SSDR or N1MM and both apps communicate bi-directionally unless the BAND selector in SSDR is used. If the BAND selector is used, the communication becomes one way only. Commands issued in N1MM are received correctly by SSDR, but changes made in SSDR do not flow back to N1MM.

I can re-establish bi-directional communications by killing the CAT app, restarting the CAT app, and telling N1MM to retry communication. Again, it will work bi-directionally unless the BAND selector in SSDR is used.

I've got the same problem. I've had this problem since going to the 8600 last fall and SSDR ver 3.xxxx.

If I change bands using the profiles or band option on the SDR S/W then N1MM doesn't follow it. If I use N1MM to change bands it works OK. To get it working again when it quits I must close CAT and restart CAT. Then it tracks OK until I change bands on the SDR again.

I also experienced something similar on the weekend during the WPX contest.

I say similar, because I didn't go and verify that it was after using the BAND selector, and I didn't restart CAT, but at some point it became one way only and I had to make all frequency change inputs from N1MM.

    Using a 6400, N1MM+ V1.0.10704.0, SSDR 3.8.23.

I also have a CTR2 micro connected which continued to work, but again changes made there were not communicated to N1MM.

This is a known issue, SMART-10633. It is slated to be fixed 3.9. It seems to be affecting 8000 series radios only.
