Maestro C Unstable

This morning, while using SmartSDR on my laptop and Maestro C simultaneously, I encountered a critical issue with the Maestro. The following sequence of events occurred:

1. Unexpected Shutdown: The Maestro C screen suddenly went dark while in use.
2. Unresponsive Power Button: Attempts to power the unit on using the power button were unsuccessful.
3. Extended Power Button Hold: Holding the power button also produced no response.
4. Power Cycle (15 minutes): After disconnecting power for 15 minutes, the Maestro C powered on.
5. Radio Selection Failure: The unit powered on, but the screen went dark again upon reaching the radio selection screen.
6. Continuous Reboot Loop: Pressing the power button results in a reboot, but the screen consistently goes dark at the radio selection stage.
7. Wired Network Test: Connecting a network cable did not resolve the issue.
8. External Display Test: Connecting an external display yielded no results.
9. Community Search: I searched the community forums for similar issues and solutions, but found nothing relevant.

wondering what help you get. Please let us know, because this is the new type of Maestro C with a Latte Panda Processor inside, which controls the separate Display.
For the Maestro A and B is no support available, because the screen is a no longer build pld Dell Tablet PC and not easy to handle for Flexradio guys

The unit was faulty, overheating frequently, so ultimately since I was under the 30 days FlexRadio provided me a replacement. Kudos to FlexRadio !!

oh! sht, if one unit over heats there must be hundreds out here. mines is a few days old and its shuting down it will boot and stay on for hours or 10 min, is a wild guess, at 1600 bucks is no bueno, ill give it a week more if it does it again ill return it to Dxe they will surely send me another one.

Mine had some kind of loop where it would overheat on its own. With the replacement, I’ve left it on for seven hours at normal room temperature, nothing extreme, and haven’t had any issues since. Another thing I do is turn it off while using digital modes like FT8, ALE but that’s just me.
