Popping Scratching Noise 20M

Has anyone seen this noise signature? No obvious appliances are turned on. It’s intermittent and changes frequency. Mostly a 20M SSB problem.

Hi Doug, I see almost the same thing on 20. It just started last year, and I think that it is possibly grow lights in a neighbor's house. I haven't tried to chase it down yet, but I really need to.

In my case it is strongest due east of me. If I point my beam North or South, then it practically disappears.

This pattern repeats every 70 KHz or so.

Thanks Len. It just stopped. The closest neighbor is about a half mile away. Spinning the antenna is a great idea. I'll keep chasing it down. It is different than the diswasher/washing machine etc. In the past I've seen posts that network switches can do this but it wouldn't stop like it does now and then. It's more than likely in my house so I'll keep chasing it down.

Sounds good Doug. If you find it, please post here. It might help me figure out what I am looking at.
