SPLIT setting solution SmartSDR/N1MM

Hi Members,

despite posting topics on two relevant forums, namely N1mm forum and PlusN1MMLoggerPlus@groups.io, I still haven't received a solution on how to set up SPLIT in SmartSDR with N1MM.

There is enough information unfortunately in the forums, but for me and others it just didn't work.

There must be enough members who can say something useful about this, but practically not.

Out of desperation I started searching things myself and I came up with, what I think, is a simple solution to set up a split setting in a few steps. The attached screenshots give enough clarity.  Nothing needs to be changed in N1MM itself and no Split setting.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why don't you just click the "SPLIT" button on the slice flag? It is right above the displayed frequency, to the left of the "TX" indicator. This does exactly what you have illustrated with only one click. Slice A will be your receive frequency and the new slice B will be transmit. When you want to return to simplex operation, click the "SPLIT" button again and slice B will be removed and TX reactivated on slice A.

That is true Craig, as long as you stay in SmartSDR. This way your CW-Keyer will work fine. But try it with N1MM and you will find that SPLIT doesn't work,
