TGXL loosing connection after 8600 installation
Replaced 6600 with 8600 and configured PGXL, AG and TG.
It seems like all work, however TGXL loosing connection after about 20-30min. I do power cycle and it works for another 20-30min and loose connection.
Initial settings
After 20-30min
Did I miss something in configuration of 8600 to have these disconnects?
Thanks,
Sergey

uncheck Power Genius in the Tuner Genius settings for Genius integration tab. Checking and entering IP of Power Genius is only needed when using non-Flex exciters.

Thank you David,
I think TGXL Manual missing that step about PGXL, at least I do not see it covered.
What about Antenna Genius, keep it checked?

Hi Sergey,
Let's start with basics. What is the version firmware in PG XL, TG XL and AG?
PG XL should be 3.8.9
TG XL 1.2.11
AG 4.1.16
In the Genius Integration of TG XL version 1.2.11, the AG section should have a pulldown to select the AG by serial number, not IP address.
If you are having disconnects then I highly recommend following the Dream Station configuration guide and making sure everything is at the current release. Based on your picture, it appears you are using old TG firmware and AG version 3.x
The document has a link to 3.8.8 PG XL firmware. Here is the link to 3.8.9

Also, if upgrading the AG from v3 to v4.1.16, take screenshots of your configurations as the AG will be reset to defaults.

Hi David,
Thanks, it seems like it is normal now after I rebooted ALL - PC, 8600, PGXL, TGXL, AG.
8600 - 3.8.20
TGXL - 1.1.20
PGXL - 3.8.9
AG - 4.1.5 ( it is the same version as 4.1.6 - I was a tester for OM Module issue switching, and when it was fixed, Dragisa released 4.1.6).
Thanks again,
Sergey, KN7K

there is now 4.1.16, not 4.1.6. You are behind. Also TG XL firmware is old. 1.2.11 is current.

thanks, it was a typo - TGXL - 4.1.15 and I updated TGXL to 1.2.11.
I am monitoring now, hopefully it is resolved.

you should upgrade the amp too. Current is 3.8.9 and improves SWR accuracy.

Dave,
May need help here. I updated AG from 4.1.15 to 4.1.16 and now cannot connect.
I have Ant 3 at Steppir and Ant 4 at Inverted L, they are not listed on the app
I can click on any of these Antenna 1,2,5,6,7 and they are swiching but Ant 3 and 4 are not connecting automatically.
What do I miss?
Thanks a lot, Sergey

In the Flex tab, use the pulldown on right to select radio for each band.
For Antennas 3 & 4, make sure you checked RX and TX.

Yes, they are selected, same as before in ver 4.1.15
Very strange

The latest version linked from the Flexradio site is still 4.1.8. In the past it was noted that once Flex has approved of any 4o3a update it would update the link.
Dave, is it safe to install this 4.1.16 for AG ?
8600/6700 - 3.8.20
TGXL - 1.2.11
PGXL - 3.8.9

I've been running 4.1.16 for quite a few months. It was needed to fix an OM module issue.
Sergey, In TG with new AG firmware, you need to use the pulldown to select s/n of AG and not IP address. Did you do this when you upgraded the TG?

Hi Dave,
It seems like I have 2 issues now after upgrading TGXL and AG firmware. As far as I can see all settings normal but I guess I missing something.
- First issue - I cannot TX when TGXL is ON, I have an interlock that says Amp/TG . As soon as I tyurn off TGXL I can TX just fine.
Here are all settings
2, AG does not work in Auto mode
Here is a video demonstration -
Thanks,
Sergey

hi Sergey,
For issue 1, remove power from everything, then power up.
For #2 (do this first), in Device Config of AG, in advanced tab, click reset to factory defaults. After it boots, do it a second time. Possibly there may be database inconsistencies in AG after upgrade. You’ll need to set it up again.

oh, and check this, in AG where it says Auto on both sides of main GUI, click each and select Flex.

Dave,
Thanks a lot! Antenna genius Factory reset twice solved interlocks and antenna switching issue. I was shutting down yesterday everything, removing power several times without any progress.
I was pulling my hear over last few days with troubleshooting, hopefully it is all resolved now. Will monitor it for several days, but at the moment I am back to DX-ing instead of troubleshooting and making some QSO!
Thanks again for your patience and help to Flex community !
