How do I set up vertial "slices" on my Flex 8600?

I know I don't understand how to do everything on my new radio but I think the written manual is very vague on specifics and loaded with technical jargon and theory. I want to know what I click on in the smart SDR screen to set up more than one slice

If you want to add a slice to an existing panadapter, right-click in the panadapter or waterfall area and select Create Slice.

If you want to add a panadapter, click on the little panadapter icon in the lower left corner of SmartSDR.

Sounds like you may be reading the 8000 series hardware reference manual, rather than the SmartSDR v3 software user guide.

Good catch, Neil. @Pote2004, here is a link to the Software User Guide:

Check out section 12 (page 37) for info on operating a slice receiver.

An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu.
