Flex control driver not loading with remote USB

I have configured a remote desktop operating set up with AnyDesk and two SOR keyboards at local control site. I use a USB software to map USB devices to remote radio site where Flexradios are.
The only device not being "accepted" by Flex at radio site is the Flex control. This due to the mapped COM port is not recognised as a Flex control COM port. There Flex control driver seems not be loaded at radio site. Is there a separate Flex control driver to be down loaded?

Hi Kari, do you have the FlexControl enabled?

  • Hi Ken!
Yes of course. I saw the same issue in another thread with Win10 not loading the Flex Control Driver.

At top the local Flex Com Port (14) and at bottom mapped remote port (23).
As I understand there are no separate Flex Control Drivers. Or?

Try forcing a windows update with the Flex knob plugged in, this can pick-up needed drivers to be downloaded. It will show under Additional updates sometimes too.

  • Hi Rich,

Thanks for the input. This would be last option as I have not yet configured the wake on LAN Bios setting for the remote PC some 150 km away.
Perhaps someone chime in with additional driver info :)

  • Tim at Flexradio has provided a procedure for re-installing the Flex Control Driver after a Windows upgrade. Let me test this.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
