sSDR/Mac 2.9.45 RTTY seems disconnected

Is anyone else having trouble getting the RTTY tool to work in the latest release? Every other tool works fine but the RTTY seems like it isn't "connected to the radio". I've double/triple checked my settings but, if it is something I did or didn't do I can not find it.

Suggestions?

    Paul, thanks for the reply.

The problem is very basic and I was just poking about to see if anyone else had any issue.

The RTTY tool seems dead to the world.

No signal strength indication, to tuner activity.

Screen Cap below shows strong signals but nothing on the RTTY tool. (RX activated) The RTTY window does not change at all regardless of anything I do. The presets will change the radio but nothing more. (not sure how the tools work but it behaves like it has CAT but no DAX.)

I don't see where we have any configuration other than user info on any of the tools so I'm beginning to conclude that the RTTY tool might have a bug since all other tools work.

Anyway… any thoughts or ideas I might not know about. (I've been on smartsdr for 5 years but on smartsdr-mac for only 2 days.

    Setup is SmartSDR-macOS V2.9.45, D4.2.04  fw:3.8.20 running on arm64 on macOS Version 15.2 (Build 24C101)

yes, DAX (and DAXIQ) are both set to channel 1 and DAX is enabled in both the TX and RX control panel. Out of curiosity, I'm going to change the DAX on RTTY to 2 and see what results I can obtain.

This is where I would like to get an answer from Marcus. As near as I can determine DAX is not on for external programs so are the tools using built in CAT and DAX? FT4/8 run just fine with DAX turned off (none selected) In other words… I can't seem to shut DAX off to the internal tools. (which makes sense if they are integrated into the main program they don't need to be "plugged in"

holy cr** on a ****! I set DAX to 2 clicked RX and I'm live1 Set it back to 1 and I'm still live.

What the heck happened?? A bit of blockage in the plumbing? Did changing DAX channels plunge the plumbing? Inquiring minds want to know. (This type of issue when wires are involved I understand…but… WTH….

Thanks for being a sounding board. No clue how/why it now works but I'm going to go fully test it.

A follow up. RTTY continues to function just great. I had my first HF contact yesterday. (all previous RTTY was on VHF, in the 1980s, when the keys were really green and brag tapes were actually paper tapes. And we sent/received a lot of ascii art. hi hi )

SmartSDR for Mac has been a game changer. My 5 year old 6000 has seen more on air time the past three days than in the previous 3 months. Things just work….no techno-tinkering needed.

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
