Add a permanent RF POWER setting per band. This would ensure that say on 30 meters that with amp on you cannot exceed 200 watts

Good idea! It should be set by band and mode. I find that my KPA 500 takes a different drive level for CW than for SSB.

If you have a Flex and a KPA 500, I have an app that follows the Flex and sets the RF power based on band, mode and operational status of the amp.
