PGXL / TGXL Genius Integration Major timing Issue

After integrating the TGXL and PGXL with an Icom 7610, I noticed that the TGXL was not calling up tuning solutions on the first transmission. This was especially noticeable when scanning and using Ion2g for ALE operations but occurs regularly with SSB.

I contacted Flex and after a weeks or so of testing and discussions, Flex confirmed that the PGXL which slaves the TGXL when in Genius Integration mode is not acting fast enough. Flex is notifying 403a, but no indication of when a solution or firmware update will \be forthcoming.

On another note, I also filed a ticket with 403a but had no response.

I have this or similar problem with the TGXL occasionally. I have 4 WSJT-x instances and changing slices it comes up HI SWR. Keying it a second time is ok.
The TGXL came up on the previous slice frequency.

To get around the issue I change the TX button on the slice before TXing. Another friend has seen the same thing. Help desk suggested increasing TX delay. At 65ms it doesn’t happen very often.

I’ve posted this before. The TGXL has a very long transition time. The TGXL needs to be activated before the PGXL. Then you should be good to go

I apologize if I’ve missed something
