Flex 6600 XVTR setting to UpConverter 28Mhz. DxPatrol MK4 for QO-100

Hi, I use the Flex6600 with Oscar100 setting the TX with the Ant2 radio output in 28MhZ. connected to the 28Mhz input of the MK4 DxPatrol Upconverter with 1/2 w max. Driving.

For reception I set the RXa antenna where I connected the DwnConverter always from DXPatrol.

In this way with 1W in Tx I drive the MK4 Upconveter and with a small amplifier I increase the output by changing the power supply volts to the same, and I get to about 8/10Watt.
My question is:
Does anyone use the XVTR output of the flex6600 to drive the DXPatrol Upconverter or even another Upconverter with 28Mhz input. ? Can anyone tell me if it is possible and the possible settings?

thanks …. 73 Alex ik5pwj

The XVTR Port was designed specifically for the purpose of sending and receiving signals to/from transverters. (That is why it is called the transverter port)
The XVTR port will produce an RF output of up to a maximum of +10 dBm (10 Millwatts) output.

Most transverters are designed to accept that level of "IF" drive from the radio's XVTR port and translate it to the desired output frequency and power level.

Some transverters may need to have an adjustment to use that low level drive. Others have built-in attenuators, anticipating being driven with higher power output and may need to have these attenuators bypassed.

Check your transverter's manual for the proper settings.

NOTE: The 6600 and 8600 have TWO Transverter ports (XVTA and XVTB) which allows connecting TWO transverters on two different bands for full duplex satellite operation.

Hi Alex, I have full duplex ground station from DX-patrol. I'm using external PA https://www.60dbm.com/product/10w-broadband-hf-1-55mhz-power-amplifier/

3mW from XVTR-A port and it gives 1W out to drive DX-patrol to 10W out.
