Voicemeeter

I just recently received my Flex 8600 and Id like to try configuring Voicemeeter Banana for use with SmartSDR to get a little more flexibility using PC Audio at me second operating position.

Has anyone tried using this program? Im a bit confused about using DAX which I understand would be the interface to the radio.

I've been using this for many years. A bit intimidating at the beginning but irreplaceable once you master it.

DAX set up on the first virtual input.

I got mine working now using Banana. Your setup looks interesting. What are you using it for? My reason for using it is mainly to get more mic gain available using PC audio with my USB mic. Actually I have it configured without using DAX. In the first channel I have mic selected which is selected in the sounds recording section of windows and am using AUX 1 for the RX audio with Voicemeeter AUX input selected in Windows Sound under the playback tab. So now I have much more mic gain available and the use of the compressor which I will find useful

In my system/configuration everything goes through Voicemeter.

DAX audio goes transparently to Digital (WSJT, MTTY), audio from Flex is mixed with the sidetone generated by Morconi and is routed to the speaker or the headphones. The mike is sent to the DAX Audio TX and can be muted while using WSJT-X and so on.
