6600 -> 8600

I'll be taking delivery of an 8600 in a few days time to replace my current 6600, can I simply unplug the 6600 and replace it with the 8600 or is the some sort of best practice I should follow to avoid any issues?

    Assuming that your 6600 is on 3.8.20, I would export your profiles first. Then just plug everything in the way it was with the 6600 (plus the GPS antenna). Turn it on and import your profiles and you will be all set.

    Thanks Len, I'm currently running 3.8.20 and I think I've only one microphone profile saved as I use my 6600 primarily on CW and the various digital modes so no issues there :smile: It seems like a simple swap out is all that is required. Cheers!

    Hi Frank, another reason to move the profiles to your new rig us to get all of the persistence values. There are a bunch of things that you have adjusted at one time or another that are nice to have when you fire up your new rig.

    Enjoy your new radio!

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
