Has anyone experimented with using an IpHone as a phone patch? I am currently using an external line and patch, but would like to use my iPhone instead.

Hello @edwinhigg , I did a search on YouTube and found something (from 3 years ago), that talks about patching audio from a laptop to a cellphone. Part 1 explains using an audio mixer, and Part 2 (at 14:15 minutes in) removes the mixer completely and just uses RCA cross connectors. The only issue is that the cellphone example in this video uses a audio jack into the phone… your newer iPhone likely no longer has this port and you will have to find a dongle that breaks out USB-C to separate external mic and audio jacks.

The video uses Zoom as its example audio input to a cellphone but the same concept should apply for audio from your radio to the cellphone as well.

The video is NOT radio specific but I thought it might help with some of the basic concepts until someone else in this thread chimes in with their idea. Good luck. John/WA7UAR
