TGXL SO2R v1.2.11 Not honoring Band Configuration Bypass
F6700-SSDR v3.8.20, PGXL v3.8.8, TGXL SO2R v1.2.11.
Band Configuration on Port A has 40-6M Enable Bypass checked (SteppIR DB18E). No bands checked for Bypass on Port B map.
In Operate Mode the TGXL Port A and B both show OPR and the Tuner is engaged on Port A when PTT is asserted (RF routed through tuning elements…all set to "0" ).
In the previous version of TGXL (v1.1.8), Port A would show BYP and Port B would show OPR mode following the Band Configuration settings. I have done a Factory Reset and repopulated settings with no change in behavior.
I have the PGXL enabled in the TGXL Genius Integration Tab with Binding to "Both". Genius Integration is a new Tab on Set-up. Not referenced in TGXL User-Guide. Not sure what "Binding" controls.
No RX Bypass or Tune PTT Out selected on Other Tab. No Antenna Genius in use.
As long as I don't forget and punch "Tune" at some point when connected to the SteppIR I don't think I'll damage anything. Seems like Port A should show status as BYP when Band Map says "Enable Bypass".
Anyone else seeing this behavior with TGXL v1.2.11?
Thanks,
Pat, W5VY

with a Flex transceiver you should leave Power Genius integration in TG XL unchecked. It is only needed for non-Flex transceivers.

Dave,
Thanks for the information. I unchecked it with no change in behavior. Did a Factory Reset on TGXL and rebooted Flex 6700 and PGXL. Repopulated TGXL settings without the PGXL Integration box un-checked. Still same issue with Both Port A and B showing to be in operate mode when Band Map settings have Port A disabled on 40M-6M. I read the TGXL v1.2.11 Release Notes and there is no mention of other brands of XCVR associated with the PGXL - TGXL Integration Tab. I checked SSDR 3.8.19 and 3.8.20 Release notes latest PGXL User Guide with nothing found. Was "PGXL Integration" explained somewhere else?
Do you have a PGXL/TGXL? Do you have any bands enabled for Bypass? Does the TGXL show the associated Port in BYP mode when you are on that band?
Are the TGXL Band Configuration settings stored anywhere besides the TGXL? Do I need to do a hard reset of PGXL and F6700 to clear anything hanging?
Thanks,
Pat, W5VY

Correction…
Repopulated TGXL settings without PGXL Integration (box un-checked).
