Setting for SPE amp on ANT1 when also using XVTR

Hi all,
I have an SPE amp connected to my 6600 on ANT1, with all comms working fine via a (FR supplied) USB cable.
I also have transverters connected to the 6600, on both XVTR A and B.
The SPE amp correctly commands the 6600 RF level when set to "operate", per the low / mid / high settings on the SPE. The problem I have is that it does this irrespective of whether the TX slice is using ANT1 or one of the XVTR outputs, which need different RF levels set.
I've tried all the different settings of CAT source for the USB cable and it makes no difference - the 6600 RF level is always limited by the SPE, as soon as the SPE is set to "operate".
Interestingly, the tune level is not limited, unless the TX slice is one that would actually use the SPE, which makes me think the RF level problem might, in fact, be a bug?
Perhaps someone has a similar scenario and can spot something I've missed, please?
Thanks, Mark
