updated hamlib may be necessary when using JTDX with FLEX-8000 series radios

8000-series customers who have been using JTDX with a 6000-series radio may encounter a problem when configuring the application with FLEX-6000 as the radio (defaults to TCP connection).

hamlib (available from github) will need to be updated. The selection still appears as FLEX-6000 however the updated hamlib will recognize 8000 radios.

Yes indeed and you can make it easy to do by invoking the update facility within the software

I have updated Hamlib. I also swapped out the Hamlib .dll files in JTDX. Still no luck connecting to my 8600M. WSJT-X works fine.

Any ideas?

Yes it does but then so does the latest version of JTDX https://drive.google.com/file/d/12CkEYL1pxytUwMSmnkkb_Vx-t2z0ZUaY/view?usp=sharing though you may need need to update HamLib as noted by VA3CW.

The so-called "improved" version is actually out of date both in performance and features. For example the Superfox mode for Hounds is only in the latest version.

I downloaded and installed the latest version of Hamlib from Github, no joy. I don't see anything in the documentation on Hamlib about an update function. The link for the jtdx-2.2.260-win64.exe doesn't download for me.

Latest version and there should not be any need to update HamLib but that is done from within JTDX

The rig selection stays the same whether 8000 series or 6000
