8600 and interlock preventing transmission

I do have my 8600 finally and have been setting up the Flex after removing the K3 from service. I had a 6600 as my main radio prior to selling it waiting for the new…..that said

I have a TG, PG and AG. I mainly use that for HF. For 6m the antenna is hooked directly up to the amp and amp direct to the rig. I can seem to get xmit on 6m. I get the interlock preventing transmission error AMP:AG. HF ant are hooked up to the AG and work fine. Not sure what I have set incorrectly to get this error.

Before anyone asks the 6m ant is direct to avoid the 800w limitation of going through the AG. This did all work with the 6600, 6m direct and HF via AG. Current software v 3 and the rest with the latest Genius software.

Mike, I have the same setup as you are using including bypassing the 6M yagi and tying direct to the Amp side B. However, I went into each units App (TGXL and AG) and disabled the Side B Communications. On the AG I disabled any communications with the amp/tuner etc. by NOT checking the box that enables communications via LAN. I forget the exact verbiage/markings in the AG. I cant check now as I ham waiting on a new AG 8X2.

Anyhow, with all the latest firmware versions loaded here, I do not see the interlock message AMP:AG that you see.

    Regards, Lar K1UO

Thanks Larry. I'll check the boxes again. I thought I had switched everything off. I know I have only have port A enabled on the tuner

I was having some interlock issues as well. I power cycled the TGXL, PGXL and 8600. That seemed to reset everything. I haven't had an interlock issue since.

This is a good document to review as well.
