What is the current fan used in the 6400

I just bought a used 6400 and received it yesterday. The radio comes up fine but after being on a couple of hours I get a single repeating red light saying the fan is bad.

I opened a help desk ticket asking if I can get a fan but it's the weekend so I won't get an answer until next week.

Can anyone tell me what fan is used in the latest 6400's that were made. This radio is an early 2018 model and the fan that is in it does not appear to be available. I read where Flex changed to a different fan but can't find what it is.


Anyone know? Where can I get one?

I'm sure Flex will answer my support ticket but thought I'd ask here also.

    Hi Harold, the problem may or may not be the fan. This same symptom could also be a bad SD card.

    I would wait for the help desk response before doing anything else.

    I'd be surprised if it's the SD card. It runs fine for several hours and then it gets the bad fan single red blink over and over. Most SD card problems keep the radio from booting up.

    But I am waiting on an answer from Flex.
