8600 Accessory Connector PinOut

Does the DB-15 acc connector on the 8600 have the same/similar pinout as the 6500 series?

The 8600 Quick Start Guide directs one to the Hardware manual but the manual doesn't seem to be available.

Hi Tim, given that most of the rest of the radio is the same hardware, I would bet that the ACC connector is the same as the current 6000 series radios.

    Hi Len

That seems to be the case. Using a cable from the 6500ACC on the 8600 worked as expected.

    Thanks for the response.

Excellent! Always good when you don't have to rebuild connectors. They're not all that difficult, just tedious.

One change in connectors is the CW key. Now a 3.5mm diameter; a change from 1/4" diameter.

I think that changed with the 6400 and 6600.
