SmartSDR Active Recieve Panel and Flag

I though from reading the Users Guide 41.7.5 that the Active Receive Panel should mirror the Flag. That is, if one is in CW and the flag shows 400 the Active receive Panel should show CW and 400. Bur if one is in 500 in the Flag, there is no 500 in the Active Receive Panel. Similarly, in DIGU, 3.0 in the Flag has no corresponding 3.0 in the Active Receive Panel.
If one changes a setting in the Active Receive Panel, it changes the corresponding setting in the Flag, but if there is no 3.0 (DIGU) or 500 (CW), one has to change the setting in the Flag.
I'm mostly just trying to understand the relationship between the Flag settings and the Active Receive Settings.

Hi Jim. Well, I never noticed that! My guess is that they ran out of room on the Active Receive Panel and dropped the wider of two close settings - in CW, keep 400, drop 500 and keep 800 and drop 1.0K.

So you are right. If you want the additional filter settings, you need to set them from the Flag, not the Active Receive Panel.

If you have a Maestro or any device that can change the width or hi-cut/lo-cut parameters of the filters, you can have much finer control of the filter widths (I do this in 10 Hz increments in my homebrew TeensyMaestro). Also, if you zoom in far enough to see the blue filter indicator in SmartSDR, you can grab the filter edges with your mouse to get very fine control.
