Compatibility with Yaesu M-100 Microphone

Hello
I would like to confirm whether the Yeasu M-100 microphone is compatible with the flexradio8000 series.
series, as I would like to use it as my main microphone.
Do I need to buy a specific accessory?
Thank you in advance for your reply.

As far as my 'investigation' goes - I am waiting for the delivery of my ordered Aurora ;-) - YES - it can be done, but it's not plug-and-play. You need to solder an adapter cable. The M-100 provides either a GX-16 8 pin connector or a RJ-45. The RJ-45, by using a CAT6 or CAT7 shielded cable looks more promising, but the GX-16 can be done too. Depending on your Flex rig, you may need a 5v power supply. A good USB power supply or a advanced 'audio quality' 5 Volt source will do it.

I utilize the Yaesu M-100 Microphone on my 6600M. I found a Flex adapter cable 8 pin to 3.5mm that is powered by a USB cable (5V) The ID for the adapter is FLEX-ACC-8P-TRS. The cables plug into the PTT and MIC on back of the 6600M. The vendor was ML&S "Martin Lynch & Sons" of UK. www.HamRadio.co.uk Might give them a try.
