Hi Everyone,

Could someone please tell me what cable is required to connect my Acom 1000 valve amplifier to my 6400M.

It is the newer model amplifier with the bevelled frontage.

Thanks in advance

All you should require is an RCA cable from TX1 to the PTT in on the A1000. This is the cable that puts the amplifer into TX.

Follow the instructions in the A1000 manual. This video should help you through the rest.

ALC is not required and is actually not used any more.

Using ALC can sometimes introduce intermodulation distortion (IMD) into the transmitted signal. This happens because the ALC might fluctuate the output power in a way that affects the signal purity, leading to a less clean signal.
