I received a new callsign today and have a question about the logs

in SmartSDR for Mac
I received a new callsign and don't know how to incorporate it into the log.
Do I create a new log for the new contacts? or just change the callsign in the software so that the new entries have the new callsign?

    Hi Charlie… what 'logs' are you talking about? If you mean your personal log of contacts, what software are you using?

    Is this new call sign a replacement for your old one, or is it an additional? Some software loggers have the abiliity to accommodate multiple 'originator' call signs — others do not.

    I should have provided more info:
    The log is the integrated logbook in the SMARTSDR for MAC program.
    I received a new (Vanity) callsign so my old one has been canceled.
    I currently sync this logbook through the included logbook tools to QRZ and Logbook of the world.
