    Will we be able to import profiles from 6000 to 8000 series?

    Got the invoice for my new 8600 last week so that means it's coming fairly soon. Does anyone know yet if we can import profiles from the old 6000 series to the new 8000 series?

      Hi Dave… I don't 'know' :-) and I can't speak for Flex, but given we'll all be using a new version of SmartSDR (3.8 will be the latest) my bet is that Flex will provide a way through SmartSDR to import 6000 profiles directly into the new 8000. They have even programmed the 8000 so that it uses the same profile file format as the 6000!

      yes, you can import your profiles from your 6000 series radio to your 7000 series radio without problems.
