Finland FlexRadio Station?

Fellow hams - I have a very long term friend in Helsinki, Leif (OH2BAQ) who is now in hospice but still very much alert. I saw him 3 weeks ago on a trip to Helsinki and suggested to him that he gets back on the air using a Maestro. He got excited. :-). He now has a Maestro C in his room & now needs to find some fellow hams in or around the Helsinki area who might be willing to allow Leif to log into their station(s) and use them while he's in hospice? I'd appreciate any suggestions you guys might have. 73 Bill WA9L / bbaker256@gmail.com

that is great idea…hope you find some locals to help with this…

I did similar things for a close friend whose also was in confined to hospital for quite a while.

He ended up using and iPad and remoted into my flex 6600m…it helped a lot to keep his morale high and when he did finally get out of the hospital, he was re-energize his love for hamradio …

    well worth the effort …

So i add my voice to your request…and hope some local hams can help out

Thanks Paul. Unfortunately I live in LA and can’t have an antenna, so I also have a Maestro. My friends in Chicago have a bunch of Flex’s in a club stations. http://ns9rc-wiki.ddns.net/mediawiki/index.php/Flex_cadre

That have graciously helped me out to get started however, my Finnish friend wants to be a DX station and have people chasing him! Let’s hope some fellow Finnish ham will see this message or someone will forward it to the right spot for an introduction! LOL 73 Bill WA9L
