when operating with my maestro A in the smart Control Mode in CW I can hear the side tone but not the radio… how do you hook up your station so you can hear both???

You did not say where the radio was. But I use SmartControl on my Maestro A all the time (for SSB and CW). My radio is 5' away and it has a power speaker on it. So, I hear the RX audio out of the radio power speaker and the CW sidetone out of the Maestro.

Now when operating Field Day, we had the Flex radios in a rack in a separate tent from the operating trailer. We then used a Blue Tooth transmitter in the Flex radio power speaker jack and BT speaker and/or Headphones in the trailer. Of course the standard BT range is only supposed to be 30'.

There are other solutions for long distance remote Flex installations which others will comment on. Good luck!
