Can the iPad version be converted to Mac?

I thought I read that if you purchased the iPad version, it could be used on Mac. I only see the option to buy at $99. It looks like I get to buy the Mac version to use on Mac and now that I no longer use or have an iPad, that version will just no longer get used unless I get another iPad again.

Can the iPad version be converted to Mac?

    In short, No. The iPad version can be used on any iPad you own and is under the same AppleID. The Mac version is entirely separate and must be purchased for use on your Mac.

    Copy that. I think it was on the Facebook group where I read it. Yeah, it seems it would say I own it if it were true. No big deal. I bought a Macbook Air to play radio, so will gladly buy again.
