Connecting to a host Wireless network when not line-of-sight
I asked this in the remote operation category originally, but got no responses. Apologies if you've already seen this.
My remote station is hosted at a local farm and has a Teltonika router that connects (or rather connected) to the farm's WiFi, using the latter as its WAN connection. This has worked fine, but now the farm has changed ISP and their AP has moved to a point where it is no longer line-of-sight to my router - actually its WiFi antenna - because there's a metal barn in the way!
I've been looking at some sort of WiFi extender, or better still a PoE WiFi Client that I can place in line of site to their AP and connect to my router over Ethernet. I tried the TP-Link CPE-210 but it requires both ends to be from the same family and I have no control over the host network: I'm just another client.
I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions?
