Lost contact with 6600 on LAN after modem/router issues

I had an Internet outage yesterday . Spectrum Cable did some troubleshooting and did a few reboots and also had me do a reset of the router. My 6600 is connected to my network via Ethernet . Things were eventually resolved but I did not use the Flex until today.

Today I find that I have no discoverable radios available . SmartSDR says "no connection". I did the obligatory reboots of the radio and the computer. I will go out and purchase a new Ethernet cable a bit later, just in case it is simply a bad cable issue. Pending that, any suggestions? Other "wired" Ethernet devices are working.

OK…do we have to guess or can you tell us how it was solved?

  • I'm having the same problem Andy. I had to restart the internet router due to technical issues with the company and when the internet problem was resolved, my 6600m doesn't connect to the internet. How were you able to resolve that? Andy

power down the 6600m and wait two minutes. Then shut DC power off to radio for one minute.

Next turn on DC and wait two minutes before starting the radio. See if the radio has Internet access by tapping on the radio in the radio chooser window once to highlight it and then tap info on bottom. If Internet access is None then select the radio and then the version of software you were running (3.7.4 is latest v3 and 2.12.1 is latest v2). Let the radio start up from front panel.
Tap Menu then Network. Make sure radio and front panel are both set to DHCP and not static. If either is static, change to DHCP and radio will reboot. Check for Internet connectivity using procedure above.

If that does not work, open a Help Desk ticket.
