No monitor audio with DVK messages

I'm having a weird issue when sending DVK messages from DXLog to my Flex-6600M via SmartSDR/DAX. When I play a DVK message, DAX TX comes on, message is transmitted on the air but there is no monitor audio from the Phones jack, even though the monitor is on and volume turned up. When I turn on FDX, the monitor audio works, no FDX - no audio. When PC Audio is selected, the monitor audio works with or without FDX. Full Duplex shouldn't be required for monitor audio, or? Am I missing some setting? Spent hours going through everything possible in SmartSDR, DXLog and the radio, reset everything several times, no luck so far :-(

Toivo, by some reason monitor needs FDX to be switched On.

Thank you, Boyan! It is weird, but OK, I can live with that, now that I know it is so.

While testing I found another thing that seems a bit strange to me. I tried to test a PC microphone with SmartSDR for Windows and noticed that it will not work with PTT from foot switch, only with MOX or VOX. And here too the monitor will only work when FDX is On. Moreover, when I switch in SmartSDR from MIC-input directly to PC-input, the microphone connected to MIC-input continues to work with the foot switch while the PC microphone works with MOX or VOX. So, when I have the PC-input selected, I can alternate between two microphones by just selecting my PTT source. A bit peculiar behaviour but maybe it's the way it has been designed to work. Anyway, it doesn't bother me much, I'm more of a CW-guy myself. It's my son who has recently caught the ham radio bug and is eager to operate in SSB-contests every now and then …
