I'd like to introduce a new product from Lynovation, CTR2-MIDI.

CTR2-MIDI is a small Bluetooth-LE controller based on the same form factor as CTR2-Micro. It provides a multi-function encoder, six dual-mode pushbuttons, and a paddle/straight key/PTT interface.

It's designed for Marcus Roskosch's SmartSDR for iOS and provides a super easy way to operate your Flex from anywhere using just the controller, paddles, and your cell phone.

I like that Marcus supports SmartLink and seems to have handled the IP keying latency issues. It's really nice to be able to connect with minimal hardware from anywhere with no port forwarding or VPNs.

I got my CTR2-MIDI today and was able to set it up with my iPad and Flex 6600 pretty quickly. Works well!

I just wanted to update the group that the latest release of CTR2-MIDI firmware (v1.01.00) adds support for USB MIDI. Just plug it into your iPhone or iPad running SmartSDR for iOS using an OTG adapter and select the Xiao ESP32-S3 device on the MIDI Controller screen in the Tools menu.

USB MIDI also allows CTR2-MIDI to be used with other apps such as Thetis and SDR-Console for Windows (I know, off topic).

The new firmware supports speed proportional tuning on SmartSDR for iOS and has a slider mode with audible center and edge detents designed for RIT and XIT tuning.

CTR2-MIDI is perfect with SmartSDR for iOS for road trips. Just drop it in your overnight case and operate remotely from anywhere with your cell phone. Throw in your key and operate real CW remotely. You can also use one of the multi-function buttons for PTT or plug a remote PTT switch into the paddle input jack for SSB.

CTR2-MIDI is small enough to be mounted on a pop can or beverage cup and dropped into your car's cup holder for those wishing to operate mobile or fixed remote from their vehicle.
