Radiosport RS55SL wi Flex 6600
The Flex Accessory page regarding the Radioisport RS55SL says, "If you wish to use the RS55SL with a PC that does not have the Single TRRS jack, this should work for USB Devices: USB External Stereo Adapter."
The adapter does not work for me. In fact the adapter page says, "Unidirectional audio transmission: this USB port is output, not input. Audio can only transfer from USB port to 3.5mm port." Yes, I should have taken notice of this before I purchased.
Has anyone had success using the adapter suggested?

That only works to use the RS 55SL with a PC, not radio.
You would need something like this. I have not tested it.

Dave, I should have stated that I was going into a PC. The PC is LAN connected to the 6600. I take it from you comment that the RS55L will do two way communication with a PC for gaming, as and example, but will not interface and communicated with the 6600.
The plug on the RS55L is CTIA standard so the splitter you noted should work with the PCs mic in and sound out. This same cable might interface to the Maestro too.
I will give it a try and report back.

Dave, I ordered another USB sound device that had sound as well as mic audio. Each has a volume control. The computer picked the USB device up correctly but the mic level into the PC was so low it was unusable.
I tried the cable you mentioned in the PC. Again, the computer picked cable and headset up correctly but the mic audio level was, again, so low it was unusable.
I tried the cable in the Maestro. The MOX light came on and stayed on. Scratch that idea.
I was beginning to wonder if the 55L was even working. I plugged it into a MAC and brought up a Zoom meeting. The sound and mic worked fine.
I have not figured out next steps.

The original USB sound device suggested by Flex was not recognized as a microphone input. The playback worked fine. I am not sure if it was a bad device or one that, by design, does not work as anticipated.
The Lavelas USB sound card ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZCVPBMDpsc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) I ordered was picked up by the computer as both a sound input and output device. The mic output level of the 55L seems a little low and the various computer mic sound setting had to be pushed to 100.
I built a simple "Y" cable breaking the 55L TRRS plug into two TRS cables to plug into the Maestro. It worked without issue. The original Amazon cable was not wired correctly as the PTT line of the cable was grounded causing the Maestro to be keyed up.
For me, case is closed.
