M models and Maestro
I am wondering what version of Windows will be installed on the new Maestros and the new M model radios when they start shipping. I understand that the processor in both should be much faster. Are there any details on what processor, memory etc they will be using? Also, how future proof will this new system be? Will the Windows version used be supported by Microsoft for the foreseeable future? One final question. In the past Microsoft has managed to force updates that have caused problems. Will this version of Windows allow the same thing to happen again?

That's a great question. I wonder if we'll get an answer?😁
Let's take bets! I'm betting Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC (which will be supported through 2031) -- Cuz that's what I would have chosen.

I'm leaning towards Windows Vista. Hackers have forgotten about it long ago. So, it should be safe from online attacks!

Seriously though, I think you are probably right. If I remember correctly, I was told that was the version being used now. I just don't remember who told me that.
